Even though I should be doing uni work, I felt I owed myself a little break whilst my dinner is cooking! I’m also super excited to have purchased this beauty box and as I couldn’t contain my excitement any longer I felt it was only right to share this with you all!
I was super excited when I saw a few blogs over the past few days reviewing Selfridges beauty box for this summer and when I woke up to an email on Wednesday morning informing me that they were available to order I literally ordered one there and then as I know these things can sell out fairly quickly! To my amazement it was delivered the next day, top customer service points for Selfridges right there!
|Selfridges Summer Beauty Box (£25) – Selfridges|
I love beauty boxes for various different reasons, the main being that you can learn so much about different brands and products as well as introducing you to brands that you may not have heard before not to mention the price of them is so worth it as you get your moneys worth and even more. As I had already read about this beauty box it wasn’t much of a surprise as I already knew what products were in the box, which is one of the main reasons I ordered it as a lot of the products in this box I have been wanting to try for such a long time but some of the price tags are a little steep for my student budget! With this box being £25, compared to other beauty boxes out there some would consider this kind of pricey but the contents of the box add up to a total of around £70 if you were to buy the products individually which in my eyes is amazing!
For me the most exciting product in this box is the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray which I have been wanting to try out for such a long time as i’ve heard such great things about it and I know it will be perfect for my hair on those days where I can’t be bothered to spend ages styling it. Also in this beauty box is 30ml bottle of Caudalie Beauty Elixer Spray which again I have had my eye on for ages after seeing so many bloggers rave about it, the only thing i’m a little skeptical about is the smell.. it’s a little overpowering for my liking but we shall see. The Models Own ‘Bubblegum’ Nail Varnish is a nice addition to this box, especially as it is from their newest range’s the ‘Ice Neon Collection’. The next two products are tanning products, which for someone like me who doesn’t tan at all I ca find coming in useful. The first being the St Tropez Instant Glow Face Lotion which for sure will be useful when it comes to the time where I fake tan myself up as I always find my face a pain to do. The other product is the Lancaster Tan Maximizer which i’m not sure i’ll get much use out of but it may help a little to moisturise my lovely burnt fair skin. The Molten Brown Blissful TempleTree Bath/Shower smells lovely and I can imagine it will make me feel really relaxed.. in fact I may use it in my bath I plan to have after my uni deadline is out of the way. I’m really intrigued by the Erborian BB Creme, as i’m not a big BB creme kind of girl but as the weather gets a little warmer I know i’m not going to want to be wearing a heavy face full of make-up so this will be nice on those days when I want a light coverage. I’m also really excited to try out the Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash as I try to avoid brushing my hair in the shower incase I cause damage to my hair and I think this will be an answer to my prayers as sometimes I really do need to brush my hair in the shower. The last product is a set of hair grips by Jane Tran, who I have never heard of but I may get some use out of them.
Hands down the best beauty box i’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying and for £25 I cannot complain one bit. I will be reviewing pretty much everything from this beauty box and I will start to review products from my other beauty boxes as well, I don’t really know why I haven’t previously!
