Lip Edit: Raspberry Lip Crayons

The other day I was sorting out my ‘lips drawer’ in my makeup storage and I came across a few products that I had completely forgotten that I owned and I also found that I have a number of similar lip products within my collection.

Left: Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush – Jelly Pong Pong (£12.99), Right: Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon – Boots (£7.99)

I’ve noticed that I have been loving rocking the raspberry lip recently, it’s just so pretty for summer and it’s something completely different for me as apposed to my dark plum lip.

Whilst sorting out my ‘lips drawer’ I came across the Jelly Pong Pong ‘Cranberry’ Lip Blush (I think thats the shade name) and I couldn’t get over how close in shade this was to the Bourjois ‘Red Sunrise’ Color Boost Lip Crayon (review here) which I have been wearing so much recently. Both shades are a lovely raspberry red shade with a slight hint of pink that appear quite glossy yet very pigmented on the lips. The Jelly Pong Pong shade is ever so slightly darker and little less glossy in comparison to the Bourjois shade but both appear almost identical on the lip and both keep your lips super moisturised throughout the day.

Both lip crayons have their own pros with the Bourjois lip crayons containing SPF15 and the Jelly Pong Pong lip blush’s containing beeswax but all in all both of these products are great. As for wear, they both stay put pretty well throughout the day but I do find with the Jelly Pong Pong lip blush that I did have to reapply a little more throughout the day mainly after eating or drinking but that didn’t really bother me too much as you get this with most lip products.

Have you been loving the raspberry lip recently?
