Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet – 05 Ole Flamingo

It feels like it’s been such a long time since I reviewed a single lip product on it’s own, seeing as I haven’t really purchased any new ones recently other than this, but i’ve been loving it that much that I thought it deserved a whole post dedicated to it.

Ever since I picked up one of the new Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet (£8.99) for my giveaway a couple of months ago, I knew that I just had to get one for myself just the look of the shade ’05 Ole Flamingo’ was enough to make a girl fall head over heels for a lip product and after hearing so many rave reviews I finally caved.

The first thing other than the pigmentation of this shade, is the formula of this product. It is like nothing that I have tried before, and that is a bold statement coming from someone who owns far too many lip products. The only way I can describe this formula is a ‘velvet almost matte, but not too matte’. It glides on like a dream and you can’t even feel it on your lips, the product is that light but boy can you see it. I love the pigmentation, especially of this shade as it’s a vibrant pink but one that anyone can pull off especially with a tan. I also find that the almost matte finish it gives doesn’t appear really drying like matte products can be, which is major bonus and another reason as to why I love this product. I really want to get my hands on more of these, but for now I will just continue to swoon over this one.

Have you tried any of the new Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet’s?
