1 Year of Makeup Revolution

It’s safe to say that when a brand first starts out, you don’t usually expect great success straight off the back and usually it takes a brand a couple of years to really establish themselves into the industry, but every now and then a brand can take the beauty world by storm and that brand for me has been Makeup Revolution. Having celebrated the brands first birthday this weekend just gone, just shows how tirelessly they have worked to get the brand where it is today.

Now I usually don’t dedicate an entire post to a brand, mainly because I don’t own enough products to fully rave but I wanted to write a post dedicated to Makeup Revolution as a way of celebrating their first birthday, but by also introducing the brand to some of you who may not of heard of them – which I highly doubt, seeing as I rave about them enough.

I’ve already done a huge post about my favourite products from Makeup Revolution and giving you a bit of low down about the brand, so make sure you go read that but I thought i’d share my experience with the brand, again recommend some products that I think are truly great and tell you why they deserve all of the success that they have in such a short amount of time.

I first became familiar with Makeup Revolution when I saw a lot of their products being reviewed by fellow bloggers and when a bunch of bloggers rave over a certain product, you instantly want to try it for yourself. Now I initially contacted Makeup Revolution myself, just to enquire about possibly featuring some of their products on my blog to which I didn’t expect to be receiving products from them each month. They are definitely a brand that know how to work with bloggers and in return they get some great coverage and reviews on their products/brands, which is so nice to see as many brands really don’t know how to work with us bloggers in order to build a great working relationship.

Also what is great, is that the team always look to bloggers to promote their new releases as they are constantly launching new products each week, rather than turning to other forms of advertising bloggers seem to be on of their main sources of getting their product out there and in turn the bloggers receive some amazing products. One of my favourite products from Makeup Revolution has to be their Golden Sugar’ Blush & Bronze Palette (£6), which I use every single day without fail. The shades within this palette are just beautiful and the palette itself is just lovely to look at – this is one product that I will always recommend trying. I also love their The One Blush Sticks (£5) and their Powder Blushes (£1), which are a steal at £1.

The quality and the price of their products is truly what makes this brand, as they pride themselves in creating great products with amazing quality for such affordable prices, with the majority of their products being priced under £10, which is amazing for those you can’t afford to splash out on high end brands. They also are great at offering products that are considered ‘dupes’ for said high end products, with their palettes rivalling the Urban Decay Naked Palettes and Lorac Pro Palettes with the majority being just as good, if not better quality wise.

If you are yet to get your hands on any products from Makeup Revolution, then I would highly recommend checking them out seeing as they are stocked in practically every Superdrug store around the country and also online in you’re not in the UK.

I’d like to say a massive Happy 1st Birthday to Makeup Revolution and I hope for another amazing year and some amazing new releases! Also, the cake pops were a lovely gesture in order to celebrate their first birthday and they tasted so good – edible makeup it the best!
