My Recent Hair Saviour – Redken Color Extend Magentics Deep Attraction Mask

As many of you are probably aware, I dye my hair to this dark brown colour and have for a few years now. If you are like me, then you’ll understand how your hair colour can often fade over time through washing and styling, but recently i’ve found a product that has really been helping to lock in the colour, whilst stopping it fading.

After really enjoying the Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner and seeing how both of those products have helped to maintain the colour in my hair over the past couple of months, I was excited to try out something else from the range, as i’ve not really tried out many Redken products but so far i’ve been really impressed.

When the Redken Color Extend Magnetics Deep Attraction Mask* (£16.50) landed on my doorstep, I was excited to see what it was all about, as i’d never used a mask targeted towards maintaining and locking in hair colour. Similar to the shampoo and conditioner, this has a special system that helps to lock in the colour to the hair, whilst also providing the hair with some extra conditioning that an ordinary hair mask would give. I’ve been using this a couple of times a week, after washing my hair for around 10 minutes to really allow it to get to work on my hair and i’m loving the difference it is making.

So far i’ve noticed that my hair is looking a lot more shiny, as it often looks quite dull and dry from the constant dying, but i’ve also noticed that the colour seems to be lasting better as it often fades slightly within the first week or so after dying it. As I mentioned this also helps to somewhat nourish the hair and using this, along with a deep conditioning mask i’ve noticed that my dead ends aren’t looking so dead. If you often find that you hair colour fades and you also want to give your hair a little bit of conditioning at the same time then i’d definitely recommend giving this a try.

Have you tried out any Redken products recently? Which ones would you recommend?
