After trying out a few of the Born Pretty blush palettes and absolutely loving them, I decided that I needed to try out some other products from Born Pretty as i’ve heard some great things about their lip products especially.
As Born Pretty stock so many different products and especially a major variety of lip products, so it was hard to just choose one, and one different to those that I already own.
The first lip product I opted for was the Velvet Liquid Lipgloss* (£1.95), which I don’t own many of and the ones that I do own, I love. I believe I have shade 10, which is this lovely bright hot pink shade – one of my favourites. The consistency of this is very similar to your ordinary velvet lipgloss, it applies like a lip gloss but dries somewhat, without leaving a sticky residue but appears almost matte on the lips. As I find matte formulas too drying for my liking, opting for a velvet finish is always better as they aren’t drying at all but still give a matte like look.
The next lip product I picked was the Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick* (£1.95), which I originally requested in a different shade so I wasn’t expecting an orange lipstick but luckily is one that I can wear. I love the formula of this as it’s super shiny but still quite pigmented and the consistency is very similar to the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons. In fact i’ve been pairing this lipstick with the Orange Punch shade and they work so well together. Even though it’s different for me, it’s a lovely shade.
Now I knew that I couldn’t choose all lip products as I own so many already, so when I saw the 2-in1 Eyebrow Pencil* (£1.13) I thought i’d give it a try as i’ve never used an eyebrow pencil. I was actually pleasently surprised and it has become one of my favourite products as of right now. The spooley is so handy for combing through the brows and the pencil is actually a really good colour match for my brows.
So those are the recent things i’ve been trying out from Born Pretty and again, i’m so impressed with these products.
