It’s been a while since i’ve done a big clothes shop and when I got my first pay from my new job I decided it was time to treat myself. Luckily at the time River Island had a big sale and ASOS had 20% student discount, and as my student id is still valid, I took advantage a made a pretty big order. There is also a few pieces from TkMaxx, as they have some lovely pieces in at the moment.
I decided to take images of the clothing on, as it’s shows how the clothes fit on the body and you all gave great feedback on a previous post, saying how much you preferred it to the clothing flat.
Starting off with my favourite piece of my ASOS order, and a piece that I know will be a statement piece throughout summer. The ASOS Reclaimed Vintage Floral Kimono (£23) is the prettiest piece I have ever owned and I love that it is vintage. The print is so vibrant but also completely different to anything that i’ve previously owned. The only annoying thing is that it is so static, so any tips on how to remove static from clothing, let me know.
Next up is a pick from River Island that I wasn’t so sure about, but it’s definitely grown on me. This Black Border Boxy Crop (£7) is an absolute bargain and it also a lovely fitted piece. I’m not quite sure what to style this with, as i’m not one for getting my stomach out but I do really like it!
Sticking with crop tops, this particular one I have had my eye on for quite some time, so I thought it was time I finally purchased it. I love the shape to this Daisy Street Crop High Neck Knit Top (£14.99) as the high neck to it is so on trend. I’ve been wearing this non stop recently and is so easy to style with so many pieces.
A few pieces from TkMaxx that i’ve picked up recently and added to my collection have been suprising as I can never usually find anything in my local store. Firstly is this lovely Grey Longline Duster Coat (£14.99), which is somewhat oversized and I really like the boxy fit to it. I know it will be a really key piece and it is so light that i’ll be able to wear throughout summer also. The second piece is this beautiful Elodie Cami (£12.99), which is so pretty. I’m a huge lover of white in the summer and this piece is such a fun, girly piece for summer.
Continuing with a girly, white piece is this beautiful ASOS Skater Crochet Dress (£40) that I just couldn’t turn down. I love these double layer style dresses and the crochet detail just adds a lovely touch. The knit to this is a little thicker to what I expected but it will be lovely to wear during spring and also on cool summer evenings. Lastly are these beautiful River Island River Island Chelsea Boots (£23), that happened to be the last pair in the store and of course they were in my size. They are so comfy and i’ve been wearing them a lot to work, as they dress up a casual outfit really well.
So those are a few pieces that i’ve picked up recently and i’m so happy with everything i’ve picked up. I’ve also picked up a few pieces from Primark over the weekend, so i’ll be sharing those soon!
Have you picked up anything recently?
