January for me, like anyone is the time where I find myself introducing new things into my routine. Whether it be based on the goals I set or introducing new products into my beauty routine, for me it’s the perfect time to introduce new products into my life. I thought i’d share some recent additions from the lovely team from Fragrance Direct, that i’ve been wanting to try for some time now and so far have all impressed me.
Continue reading to see what product’s I picked out from Fragrance Direct to add into my makeup stash…
Starting off with obvious, as Fragrance Direct are well known for their amazing deals on fragrances for both women and men. One fragrance that i’ve had my eye on for some time after having a few samples, and loving it is the Lancome Le Vie Est Belle Eau de Toilette* (£45.95) and being a massive fan of Lancome in general, I knew I was going to love this fragrance. The scent itself is very inline with my taste of perfume as it has top notes of florals such as iris but has a base note of gourmand which I think is what gives it the slightly sexy musk to the scent, which is a winner for me! I also absolutely love the packaging of the bottle, which is big thing for me but I love the simplicity, and the cute little bow.
Another product I picked out was the Trilogy Mineral Radiance Mask* (£20.50) as I was introduced to Trilogy back last year at the bloggers festival and have wanted to try some products from them for a while. So when I saw that Fragrance Direct stocked them, I just knew I had to pick out a product from them. I opted for the mask as my skin is in need of some TLC and I actually have used this a couple of times already, and I love how it leaves my skin feeling and looking. You apply using the little spatula provided and smooth the product over the face, and leave to set. I’ve been leaving this on for a good half hour before rinsing and my skin just feels so much softer and the visible dryness has completely gone. I’ll definitely be trying some more products from Trilogy this year after trying this, as it’s impressed me so much!
Moving onto makeup, saving the best two for last! Firstly I was so surprised to find that they also stocked NARS and NYX on their website as they are both brands i’ve wanted to try more from for such a long time! I of course had to pick myself out a new lipstick and I went for the NARS Semi Matte ‘Tolede’ Lipstick* (£18.90), and after doing a little extra research into the shades I settled on this shade which is a beautiful nude with a slight red undertone, and it’s just a beautiful shade. The finish is actually really nice considering that it is semi matte as it’s not too drying, but it’s also not as sheer as I was expecting after researching more into this lipstick.
Finally from NYX I decided to try out their HD Studio Photogenic Concealer* (£2.99) which has unfortuantly sold out on Fragrance Direct but i’ve heard some great things about this and it was a damn site cheaper than other retailers! Again, I had to do a little bit of research into shades but I ended up picking ‘Albastar’ which was the lightest of the shades they had available and it’s actually perfect! I’ve been using it for the past few days and have been really impressed with not only the coverage but the longevity of the product as it lasts so well throughout the day and keep my pesky blemishes hidden from the world!
Have you been trying out any new products this month?
