At then end of each year/beginning of the next year I always talk about the product’s i’ve loved that year in a yearly favourites style post, but I never reflect on the product’s I loved the year before and whether I still do. As i’m on a bit of spending ban, I thought i’d take this time to reflect and share with you the product’s i’m still loving a year on.

Looking back at my Favourite Discoveries of 2016, I featured quite a wide selection of products all of which I do still love but since then a fair few have ran out or some have been replaced with newer products that I have treated myself to since.
One product that I have loved for a fair few years and still use on a daily basis is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation (£8.29) which has been my go to budget foundation for as long as I can remember, and has been featured in many of a blog post. The reason I love this foundation so much isn’t just because it’s super affordable, but it also does exactly what I need in a foundation. I’m not one of those girls that loves a full coverage look, but I do like enough coverage to cover any blemishes, even out my skin tone and last throughout the day, which this does! I also use this to mix if i’m tanned, so often mix a darker shade with a lighter shade to get the shade to match my face to my neck. All in all a really good foundation that i’d highly recommend!
Another makeup product that I loved a year ago, and still do to this day are the Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Kits ($29). I own a fair few of her matte liquid lipsticks now and I can’t fault them what so ever! They are so pigmented, glide on like an absolute dream and they do not budge. I mean I come home from a night out, think i’ve taken it off and it’ll still be there when I wake up in the morning (maybe tmi, but you catch my drift!). If you haven’t tried any of the Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks then I would highly recommend, as they don’t compare to the likes of Colorpop in my opinion, even though they are made in the same factory.
The last makeup product that I loved and still use whenever I wear winged liner is the Lancome Grandoise Liner* (£25) of which is hands down the only reason how I can perfect a winged liner look! Truth me told my bottle has completely ran out, but I still use the brush to apply my liner (a bit gross I know, but a gals gotta do what a gals gotta do) and it still works just as well!
The last beauty product that i’m still loving, especially as we are now in Winter is the Marc Jacobs Decadence Perfume (£38.95), which I recieved as a Christmas present not last year, but the year before and it’s lasted me so well! I’ve always been a massive fan of Marc Jacobs scents and this one is the perfect musky yet sexy scent that I just love to wear when the weathers a little colder.
