It’s been a little while since i’ve shared with you an everyday style makeup post and as i’ve recently added some new products into my routine, and i’ve been making more of an effort with my everyday makeup, I thought i’d have a chat with you all about the makeup bits i’ve been loving on a daily basis recently.
When it comes to my everyday makeup, I rarely ever made an effort up until about six months ago, as long as I looked somewhat human and alive then that suited me fine because I mean, this gal isn’t trying to impress anyone at work (lol). However, since I began experimenting more with makeup in general and getting a lot more wear out of eyeshadows, i’ve began incorporating a few new products into my routine that don’t make my routine any longer than it currently is, but I find my makeup actually looks so much better and I feel a lot more confident day to day in my appearance, which is fab also.
So since i’ve not really featured many of these products prior to this post, I thought i’d share some first impressions and further thoughts on a few products that I have gladly welcomed into my life recently.
Starting off with my base, and we all know how much us bloggers love the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19) and I always have at least a few tubes of this in my stash because it’s always sold out. Essentially it is one of the best concealers out there for covering blemishes and recently the breakouts i’ve been experiencing have been enough for me rely heavily on this product and it never let’s me down! For foundation, a recent purchase that was a bit of a random buy was the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (£33.50). A few weekends ago my Mum and myself booked ourselves in on our local stand for a makeover and I got shade matched at the same time as i’ve heard some incredible things, and of course I ended up buying a bottle didn’t I! (No will power here what so ever). However I don’t regret it one bit, and I think it has fast become my favourite and go to foundation for everyday wear. For me I don’t find it heavy or cakey, and it is really a product that you can adapt to you and how you like your foundation to look and feel, which I think is fab!
For the eyes i’ve been turning to the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette (£39) quite a bit recently as the shades all work seamlessly together and literally blend so easily that it only takes me a minute or two to do my eyes. I have already written a whole post on this, so if you want to read a more in depth review you can read that here. As well as eyeshadow, i’ve found that using a more lengthening mascara to be enough to give me a nice yet easy eye look as I cannot be faffing around with eyeliner of a morning. If you saw my recent post, you’ll have seen that Benefit very kindly sent me their Badgal BANG Mascara* (£20.50) of which I absolutely love and i’ve gotten a fair few compliments on how banging my lashes look!
Another recent addition into my life and one i’m still not over is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow* (£49) which I have wanted for ages and the fact that I finally have this within my stash has changed my makeup forever more! I just cannot get over how natural yet contoured my face looks with this and the highlight is subtle but pops, and it gives me life on a daily basis. If you haven’t tried this before and are wondering if it’s worth the price tag, let me tell you it is 100%! Lastly is a product that i’ve ranted and raved so much over the past year, but my go to brow product is and probably always will be the ABH Dip Brow (£19). It defines my brows like no other product and it has lasted such a long time, considering I use it everyday and have done for the past year, and it still has a good third of the pot is amazing! Definitely recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried this before!
