If you saw my recent post, you’ll of seen that I was testing out some new products from the latest budget brand to hit the block of which i’ve been loving. Following on from that post, CYO very kindly sent me a few more products from their range, of which I thought i’d do something a little different and share my picks for a glowy makeup look!
As we’re moving into spring i’m loving and opting for a more glowy makeup look, as I love how dewy and healthy my complexion looks with a little extra glow!
Starting off with probably my favourite base product of the moment (which I stupidly forgot to photograph, but we’ll pretend that I did) is the CYO Turn On The Light Mixing Cream* (£6) which is essentially an illuminating primer and this applied under your foundation or mixed in gives the dewiest of complexions. Once i’ve then applied my foundation and concealer of choice, I typically then go in with contouring and bronzing up my complexion. Although i’ve been loving a few alternative products recently, the CYO Girls On Tour Contour Kit* (£6.50) is an amazing dupe for a fair few contour kits and both the contour and highlight shades work perfectly to give that natural yet defined contour look. As I have this in the light shade, i’d definitely say it works well for me both tanned and not tanned, and is definitely a buildable product of which i’m sure many people would easily get on with.
If i’m wanting to make my contour pop ever so slightly, i’ve been loving the CYO Cooling Bronzing Stick* (£5.50) just to add a subtle amount of shimmer and I find this is also amazing if you’re wearing a somewhat lighter base but are still wanting a little something something when it comes to contouring. Now the consistency of this is actually very different to what I was expecting, as it’s quite a wet product which i’m not all that familiar with if i’m honest but I really like the consistency as it allows the product to appear somewhat sheer and subtle, which I often prefer in a contour stick kinda’ product.
Moving onto highlight and one product I can fully get on board with is the CYO Shimmer Switching Bronzing & Highlighting Palette* (£5) which is this almost striped like palette containing different shades that you mix together to create an absolutely stunning shimmery look! I absolutely love how this makes my cheeks pop and is definitely one to rival a few higher end alternatives!
Finally for the eye region, you all know i’ve been loving experimenting more with eyeshadows and quad palettes are probably my favourite as they are so easy to work with. One i’ve been loving from CYO is their Counterfit Eyeshadow Quad* (£5) as the shades all work so well together and i’ve personally been loving more a nude eye look as of late. If like me, you prefer quad style palettes, i’d definitely recommend checking theirs out as they have a variety of different palettes to play with.
To finish off, we all know how much I love a good fake tan but I often find some fake tans to be a little too matte and I often wish some had a slight shimmer to make your skin look that little extra sun kissed. I’ve seen so many bloggers rave about shimmer oils and the CYO Bronzing Shimmer Oil* (£7) to add a little extra bronze but glow to my skin!
So those are some more products from CYO that i’ve been loving, especially for a more dewy look!
