My Most Loved Beauty Products

A couple of weeks back whilst browsing my latest Bloglovin’ feed, I came across a post from the lovely Lauzrah of who was discussing her most used and most loved beauty products and this spurred me to think of the products that i’ve loved for quite some time, and pull them out to share with you exactly why I have loved and still love using these products.

Finding beauty products that just work for you can often be rare, but these five products have been my holy grails for some time and are products i’d recommend to anyone!

My most featured product of 2017 was no doubt the Kat Von D Shade & Light Face Palette (£37) which I purchased this time last year and has definitely been loved ever since. I mean the battered and faded packaging just goes to show how much I have loved this product over the past year. For me, this palette was always on my beauty list as so many bloggers raved about it so when I got the opportunity to actually purchase it, I didn’t think about it twice. The palette itself works for me both when i’ve fake tanned and also when i’ve not, as you can mix the bronzer shades together in order to get the right level of contour/bronze. When it comes to the powder highlighter, I don’t really use this for what it’s designed for and instead I simply use this as a setting powder for my concealer/t-zone region of which works fine for me. If i’m being honest, I probably would just purchase the single shades of this palette having now used it and gotten to grips with which shades I use and which shades I don’t as much but it’s still an amazing palette that i’d really recommend to anyone!

Another product that I purchased this time last year was the ABH Dip Brow (£19) which i’ve used every single day since pretty much, and the pot itself is almost empty (sigh) but it is hands down the best eyebrow product I have ever used, and will ever use. If you can get shade matched for this i’d highly recommend it, as I was going to buy a really dark shade however the lovely makeup artist in Sephora recommend me the shade ‘soft brown’ which is still quite a dark shade but is a lot more workable and buildable in colour. I personally love this as it defines and fills my brows like no other product and is another i’d highly recommend if you haven’t tried this one before.

For foundation, although i’ve somewhat steered away from this one for the time being, a holy grail drugstore foundation that i’ll always have in my stash as a back up is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation (£8.29). I’ve used this foundation on and off for years, and I feature it on here all the time, so you’re probably sick of me babbling on, but it’s a great budget foundation. Currently I have a darker shade of this on rotation for when i’ve fake tanned, as it allows me to add colour to my lighter shades whilst also providing a little extra coverage, which is just fab! Another product that I use for coverage and have done for years is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19). I don’t really need to say too much about this as i’ve reviewed it enough times, but I always have a tube of this in my stash, as it’s so cheap and works wonders!

Finally, I couldn’t not mention the Benefit Rockatuer Blusher (£23.50) as it’s an absolutely stunning blusher that I find works for all skin tones. It is a lovely rose shade with an almost rose gold shimmer running through it that just makes my cheeks pop, whilst also adding a lovely amount of highlight if i’m going for a really simple natural look where i’m not necessarily going to apply highlight as well. Out of all of the Benefit products i’ve tried, this is hands down my favourite and one i’d recommend to anyone!
