It’s been a little while since i’ve shared my thoughts on some beauty products i’ve recently been using and with the weather being a beautiful as it has been recently, i’ve found myself reaching for a few different products for everyday wear. I thought today i’d share with you some products i’ve been reaching for recently for spring.
When it comes to the warmer weather I do like to keep it quite light base wise and I do find that my everyday makeup doesn’t last as long as i’d like it to when the weather is slightly warmer, so i’ve been using a few more products in order to help it in place for a little longer.
Starting with the base products i’ve recently been reaching for as of late, and typically I don’t really use primers on a daily basis but recently i’ve been really enjoying the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer* (£11). I find it goes onto the skin beautifully and instantly blurs my pores which I find most if not all foundations that i’ve used with this to sit really nicely on my skin and last really well throughout the day. Typically for me my foundation really starts to dry up or fade from my chin region, but with this i’ve noticed that it really helps it to stick around. As for foundation, I typically opt for more bb or cc cream kind of formulas and I completely forgot that I had the Erborian BB Creme (£15) which has the coverage of a full coverage foundation but is so light on the skin, and has been one of my go to’s for many summers.
When it comes to contouring and bronzing up my skin, i’ve been really enjoying the CYO Contour Kit* (£6.50) as it works just as well a few other contouring products but I find the shade in this palette to be perfect for when i’ve fake tanned and want to look a little bronzed. If you’re on look out for a new contour product that isn’t going to break the bank then i’d really recommend trying this one out. Another recent addition into my daily routine has been the Makeup Revolution Strobe Highlighter (£3) which I randomly picked up as Superdrug has a 3for2 on, and this caught my eye. I absolutely love the purple tones running through this and it is fairly subtle for everyday wear, but can really be built up for a proper glow.
In terms of eyes and brows, I haven’t really been switching up the products in that area all that much but in terms of lip products, i’ve found myself reaching for the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick (£7) in the shade ‘lace detail’. I absolutely used to love wearing this shade last summer and it has come back out again this year!
