New Year Party Dress Edit

After a much needed little break over the festive period fighting what has been a pretty hefty cold/flu scenario, I’m back today with an edit of some of the best sale picks that i’ve come across to get you all glam for your New Year party dress! Can you believe that 2019 is gonna be done and dusted in just a few days?! Because I can’t.. but I am ready to welcome a new year and a new decade whilst wearing the most glitzy of glitz dresses!

party dress, new year dress, outfit,

Still stuck for a New Year party dress? See my below picks!

I dunno about you, but I am one of those people that leaves everything to last minute. For example, it’s Sunday today and I still don’t really know what i’m doing for New Years nor do I know what I am wearing! I think because i’m back in work for the next two days, it’s got me kind of distracted and I kind of forgot that New Years eve is in just a few days!

Before Christmas had even begun, I had purchased a couple of new dresses with my Christmas party in mind as every year I like to wear something new, but I also like to save where possible. With Black Friday becoming bigger and bigger, I definitely took advantage of some amazing discounts back then but now that the ‘boxing day’ sales are in full swing, some of the savings are even better than what they were offering on Black Friday.

A recent buy for me is this beautiful Oasis Glitter Star Skater Dress (£20) which I originally purchased for £36 down from £60, so the fact that it is now just £20 is an absolute steal. I wore this number to my Christmas party and I had so many lovely compliments that it filled me with some amazing confidence, and I already cannot wait to wear this again. One note to self and for anyone who does purchase this, make sure you wash it on it’s own else your entire washing load will end up covered in glitter.. (you’re welcome). Another recent purchase was this Misguided Black Ladder Lace Dress (£34) which I already have in white, and absolutely love so I thought i’d give the black version a go. Now this is only available in limited sizes but both Missguided and ASOS have some similar styles within their sale, so no doubt you’ll find something just as stunning!

I’ve linked some more dresses, and also tops/bottom combos below, to give some extra ideas if you’re still struggling with what to wear this New Year!

Finally, a pair of heels that i’ve recently added into my shoe collection are these simple New Look Block Heel Sandals (£19.99) which are so classy, yet a staple heel that any girl could pull off with any type of outfit. Again, I wore these with the Oasis Dress mentioned above and I just loved how they made this outfit come together! Again, i’ve linked some more heel options below as I know not everyone has the same taste in heels!

Hope you all have a wonderful New Year, whatever it is that you have planned!
