Beauty Favourites from 2019

*AD-GIFT (This post contains gifted/PR items)

In true January style content, I couldn’t not share with you my beauty favourites from the year just gone. I always love putting these kind of posts together because it’s an old school blogging kind of post that will never get old, and they are just an easy read that everyone just loves!

beauty favourites, makeup,

Here’s a few beauty favourites from 2019..

Through 2019 I didn’t really share very many favourites posts, purely because I don’t test new products on a weekly basis like I used to back when I first started blogging. I did however share a kind of mid year favourites post, sharing a few new products that i’d been loving up until around August time. For me, makeup wise I have found the products in which I love to use on a daily basis and those products don’t really change. I don’t shop beauty in the way that I used to, but I do find I chop and change my body type of products more so than my makeup products, so this post centres more around those products. Anyway, let’s get into my beauty favourites from 2019…

Nivea Goodies

One brand that I discovered a lot of products from through 2019 was Nivea, and I was very lucky to be a part of the Nivea Family through 2019. Nivea is a brand i’ve loved for years, but this I got many opportunities to try out quite a few of their latest releases. One of my absolute faves from this year is the Nivea Clay Fresh Showergel* (£3.99), which i’ve tried a couple of the different fragrances available in this showergel, and I just love it! What is great is the thick, yet creamy formula is great to deep cleanse you skin and leaves your skin feeling super soft, and smelly so fresh. Now i’m usually one to rave on about a shower gel, because lets be real its a shower gel but if you’re wanting one that makes your skin feel amazing, then you need to try this! Another product from Nivea that my skin has lapped up through the winter months is the Nivea Body Moisturising Mousse* (£3.99). This product i’ve been using on a weekly basis, typically after i’ve had a shower to just give my skin that bit of extra moisture, and for someone who has continued to fake tan through winter this product has been needed!

Tanning Must Haves

Another brand that I discovered and tried a lot of new products from through 2019 was Bali Body. If you’ve been a long time reader, then you’ll of seen my various reviews on different fake tan brands over the years because fake tanning is my only option of getting the sun kissed look. Through 2019 the Bali Body products have been the only tanning products i’ve used, purely because they are just amazing and my skin just loves them too. From the range of products i’ve tried, my two favourites are the Bali Body Face Tan Water* (£25.95) which I did a full review on here, and the Bali Body Dark Self Tanning Mousse* (£25.95) which I also did a full review on here.

favourites, beauty, makeup,

Skincare Loves

Similarly to my makeup, skincare is another area of beauty that I don’t change up that much purely because i’ve found products that my skin likes, and whenever I introduce something new my skin kind of freaks out a bit. Having said that, there were two products that I introduced into my skincare routine that my skin really liked, and so did I. For a few years now i’ve been using the Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser (£37) and as part of a set I purchased, came the Clinique Moisture Surge All About Eyes Serum (£27.50) which I use most mornings to really help depuff my tired eyes.

For a while now i’ve religiously used the Aldi Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser (£3.99) as my skin just loves it, and its so affordable. During the summer they released their Aldi Lacura Pink Clay Hot Cloth Cleanser (£3.99) which is similar but the addition of pink clay changed the formula to be really deep cleansing. I often switch up the two products throughout the week, but I find the pink clay version to be great if I have a few spots lingering as it helps to dry them out and it kind of acts like a quick alternative for a clay face mask. If you haven’t tried out any of the Aldi skincare, then i’d highly recommend it as they do some amazing dupes for higher end products.

TooFaced, gingerbread, eyeshadow,

A Dreamy TooFaced Palette

Finally onto probably my favourite product of right now. Although I only received this for Christmas, i’ve used it so much since because the shades are so dreamy! This is the TooFaced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette (£?) which is unfortunately sold out everywhere at the moment, but i’m hoping it comes back in stock following all of the sales. I’ve had my eye on this palette for a while now as I absolutely love the TooFaced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette (£49) so I knew i’d love this just as much! The shades within this palette are the perfect mix of neutral and warm spice tones that all work so well together. If you can get your hands on this palette, do it because you won’t be disappointed.
