Christmas Gift Edit

Every year I contemplate whether to do this blog post, purely because I don’t want to come across as brag but then I see many other bloggers/youtubers showing what they got for Christmas, and that’s where my f*ck it attitude comes in! So here I am, once again sharing with you a few lovely gifts that I received for Christmas this year!

christmas, gifts,

A few Christmas gifts from 2019..

As you get older, you truly do begin to just want to spend time with your family at Christmas. At least for me anyway. As the years have gone on, the novelty of gift giving has begun to wear off for me and don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love gift giving and seeing how happy my gifts make my family but sometimes its not the be all to the festive period. This year I switched things up a bit and spent Christmas with my Dad in Plymouth. Our day was spent feasting, drinking prosecco and watching Harry Potter back to back, and I couldn’t of asked for a more chilled yet perfect Christmas.

Similarly to last year, there wasn’t really anything I particularly needed or wanted for Christmas and most years I just ask for money to put towards holidays, festivals or to put in my savings account for the house deposit that i’ve been saving for, for the past four years. (Side note, i’m thinking of sharing some content on savings and my tips this year, so keep your eyes peeled for that). Having said that, my family and friends got me some lovely gifts this year, ones that I will get so much use out of and I thought i’d share a few of those with you.

Ugg Slippers

Kicking the gifts off with probably my favourite present of 2019, and these are the UGG Scuffette II Leopard Slippers (£80) which are currently reduced if you’re on the prowl for some new slippers *wink wink*. I think my Mum had noticed that my, now old slippers were looking a little well loved and decided to treat me to some long wearing slippers. To be honest I was shocked when I opened these, purely because of the price tag but I couldn’t be more grateful, especially as I wear my slippers literally 24/7 when i’m in the house.

Beauty Treats

As well as the slippers, in true me style I also got a few beauty related gifts. The only gift that I somewhat subtly suggested to my Dad was the TooFaced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette (£?), which unfortunaltly has completely sold out online (so I won’t be doing a full review post on this as I had planned) but if you can get your hands on this in store, do it! I love their Sweet Peach Palette and when I saw this palette, I knew i’d love this just as much. It has some amazing shades that have allowed me to experiment a bit more with my eyeshadow looks in the past week, and I just bloody love it! From my work secret santa I got this lovely Ted Baker Peony Spritz Trio (£10) which is fab, especially for when it comes to travelling because everything is under the hand luggage allowance. From my boss, as a small gift she kindly got me the Oliver Bonas Cocktail Bath Infuser (£6), which I can’t wait to use!

Lush Goodies

Finally, how could I not include the Lush goodies that I treated myself to in the boxing day sales with some money that i’d received for Christmas. Through 2019 i’d vowed to myself to not buy any more Lush products because I have quite the stash already, but whilst nipping into the Plymouth Lush store I spied a few gift sets that were reduced and I couldn’t not get one! I really wanted the Rudolph Bath Bomb as i’d seen so many blogger using it, so I opted for the Ho Ho Ho! Giftset, which had the bath bomb, a Santa Bubble Bar and the Snowman Dreaming Bath Bomb. I honestly cannot wait to have a lovely soak in the bath and just relax with these new products.

So those are a few things that I got for Christmas! What gifts did you get?
