Bali Body Clear Self Tanning Mousse & 1 Hour Express Tan First Impressions

It’s safe to say that up until very recently, self tanning has been a very distant memory for me as I haven’t been applying fake tan for quite some time purely because the need to fake tan just has not been there. That was until a new Bali Body Clear Self Tanning Mousse and 1 Hour Express Tan arrived and I just had to give them a try, one to give myself a little pick me up and two to try them out and give you my first impressions!

Bali Body Clear Self Tanning Mousse, express tan,

My thoughts and first impressions on the new Bali Body Clear Self Tanning Mousse
& 1 Hour Express Tan..

The Bali Body Clear Self Tanning Water is one of the latest releases from Bali Body and it is a water to foam formula that is made from natural DHA and contains no dyes or parabens, so it is the perfect formula for us sensitive skin gals. The formula is enriched with nourishing oils and rich antioxidants to create the perfect tan that not only glows, but keeps your skin hydrated and looking smooth. Now I don’t know about anyone else but there is no better feeling that popping a layer of fake tan on. It just instantly gives you a pick me up and it does wonders for your body confidence! If you’ve been a long term reader of my little blog, then you’ll know how much I love Bali Body products and they have today launched their new Bali Body Clear Self Tanning Mousse* (£24.95)! I have seen so many brands coming out with clear self tanning products, but this one from Bali Body is the first one that I have tried and I am honestly blown away at how good this tan is!

The tan itself is similar to the Bali Body Self Tanning Mousse* (£25.95) of which I reviewed previously in a post where I shared How I’ve Stayed Sunkissed Through Winter and I personally love their self tanning mousse, so I knew that I’d really enjoy this latest release. The formula of this product pumps out as a white/colour less mousse, meaning that you don’t have a colour guide when applying this product as you would a regular tanning mousse and to begin with this was something I was slightly concerned about because there is nothing worse than missing one small patch and having dodgy tan lines! Thankfully I haven’t found this to be an issue at all and I find that when applying this onto my skin that I’ve been going back over with the excess product left on the tanning mitt.

As you can see from the above photos of the before and after of using this product, that the colour pay off is a lovely light to medium natural glow which is exactly what I have needed recently. I love being tanned as I love how it gives me a little confidence boost, but during the colder months I prefer a much more natural looking tan whereas in the summer months I go all out with the golden glow! I have been applying this around once a week for the last few weeks and it is amazing how much more myself that I have felt with a little bit of colour to my skin. Similarly to the self tanning mousse I find that the colour lasts really well and usually when I come to reapply it has only just begun to fade, so I only have to give my skin a little top up layer as apposed to applying a large amount as I would if I had scrubbed my tan off and was starting again. All in all I am really surprised by this product considering it has no guide colour when applying and it is definitely one that I will using in the run up to Spring before I move onto a slightly darker tan!

As well as the clear self tanning water, another Bali Body product that is new to me is the Bali Body 1 Hour Express Tan* (£28.95) and as the name suggests this is a tan designed for when time isn’t on your side and you are in desperate need for quick tanning results! Similarly to any mousse tan, you apply this onto the skin and leave it develop for at least one hour but it’s better to leave it for two to three hours for optimum darkness and then shower with warm water. I popped this on a few weekends ago just to try to it out (and then took full advantage by shooting as much blog content whilst I looked all golden and glowy) and I have to say I am super impressed. I applied it in the morning after showering and exfoliating, left it to develop for around two hours and I was so surprised to see how quickly it developed! The colour is definitely on the medium to dark shade wise and itt felt lovely on the skin, not sticky like some express tans can and it was completely streak free, again something that I’ve found with other express tans that I struggle with. I also found that this doesn’t fade within a day like some express tans do and it’s a definite that I will be getting a lot of use out of this during the summer months!

So there we have it, those are my thoughts on two amazing products from Bali Body that I would recommend to anyone if you are looking for a little pick me up and a sunkissed glow.
